The Client

Leading social care charity, providing essential services to the people that need it in the local community

The Challenge

A requirement was identified by the board of trustees to develop business continuity plans to ensure that key services to the community could continue, whatever happened.

There was no internal resource with the knowledge to undertake a business continuity project and very little available budget to seek external input. Teed were recommended by a nearby University as we had helped them with their BC project and used an approach that allowed them to keep costs to a minimum.

The Solution

Teed’s fixed price Continuity Cover service proved an ideal method for taking the client through the business continuity management process and developing effective business continuity plans.

This fast track approach takes full advantage of utilising methods and templates that have proven effective during numerous other client projects. An experienced Teed consultant facilitated the project, although focused workshop style discussions ensured that time was kept to a minimum.

The project concluded with the incident management team being taken through an evolving scenario to ensure that they could use the plans and understood their roles and responsibilities.

The Result

All stakeholders were satisfied that business continuity requirements were satisfied and actions have now been implemented to ensure that key services will continue in the event of the loss of any office or accommodation location or dependency.
