Pressures of work are such these days that it can be difficult taking time out to attend training events...no matter how good our intentions are!
Increasingly we have had requests from our clients to design a training course which covers the key steps involved in developing DR & BC Plans, that discuss ways in which these plans can be tested and gives some insight into how to manage a crisis. All this can be achieved in a day with the interactive and practical programme of the 'Cool in a Crisis! All in a day Training Course.
The Audience The course is designed to suit indiviuals who have a role to play in development of plans or who could be involved in a crisis or recovery situation. You may be working in: IT & Communications Management Facilities Management Organisational, Departmental or Business Area Management Risk or Security Management PR & Emergency Response Internal or External Audit Project Management
Course Objectives Overall the course is designed to give participants an insight into the potential impact of crisis situations and how actions taken before, during and after the crisis can successfully keep impacts within acceptable limits.
Having discussed proven analysis and planning techniques, participants should be able to identify business priorities, resource requirements, feasible recovery solutions and relevant planning methods for their own organisations.
Participants will also be able to describe their roles and responsibilities in a crisis situation and agree a methodology which should allow efficient plan testing and maintenance.
Course Programme The key topics which will be covered in the training course include: Introduction to Business Continuity Planning Establishing Project Scope, Business Priorities and Resource Requirements Developing IT, Comms, Facilities and Business Area Recovery Strategies Developing & Implementing Business Continuity Plans Promoting Awareness & Plan Testing Managing the Crisis
Benchmarking Questionnaire Throughout the day participants will be able to review their level of preparedness using a specially designed questionnaire. This can be used as a 'benchmark' helping participants identify actions that need to be addressed back at the workplace.
Times The course will begin at 9.30am with coffee and registration available from 9am. The course finishing time is scheduled for 5.00pm.
Course Dates and Venues Course dates are organised according to demand and can be held at our offices in either Stirling and Richmond.
