Onsite Training |
We can develop and present focused, tailor-made, in-house business continuity training courses and have already done so successfully for a number of our clients.
Continuous assessment of the business continuity-related training needs of the organisation will be carried out and recommendations made for an appropriate training schedule to satisfy these needs in order of priority.
Appropriate learning methods will be adopted, including presentation, workshops, case studies based around client's own organisation etc. Feedback mechanisms will be incorporated to track learning success and identify subsequent actions and areas of focus.
Training Topics Delegates will be identified to take part in courses that can cover one or more of the following topics:
- Introduction to business continuity and disaster recovery
- Effective PR & Communication during a crisis situation
- Effective crisis management techniques to ensure priorities are understood and appropriate actions are taken in a disaster situation
- Business continuity principles and techniques
- Designing and coordinating an effective business impact analysis exercise
- Effective business continuity project management
- Developing recovery strategies
- IT Disaster Recovery planning to satisfy user requirements
- Contingency planning to deal with one-off incidents and exposures (e.g. bad weather, personnel loss etc.)
Feedback from 2009 training courses:
"excellent course, very informative" "well structured, excellently presented and thought provoking. Clarified a lot of issues for me "the consultant was excellent at delivering and facilitating the training day. It brought out issues with our current plan and has given me the knowledge to correct the anomalies and continually improve our plan" "excellent points made to take back to the workplace"
Due to the broad experience of our consultants, we are also able to offer tailored courses covering the following topics:
- Information Security Management Demystified focussing on how to implement an effective ISM programme.
- Data Protection Act, an awareness programme which gives guidance and practical advice on the necessary steps to take to ensure compliance with the Act.
- Creating a Business Continuity Culture, a workshop covering the practical know-how on raising staff awareness and ensuring all key stakeholders are 'onboard'.
Staff Awareness Training We are also able to offer a programme of Staff Awareness training sessions which are really useful to support the introduction of business continuity management into an organsiation. These sessions are tailored to each organsiation and explain what BC management is and by setting the context why has it been introduced. Sessions like these let staff know who is involved within the BC programme, what their key responsibilities are but most importantly what they should do in the event of a business disruption or crisis. |
