Investment Management Company
Independent investment management firm with over £60billion worth of assets under management.
Corporate investors were increasingly requesting evidence of effective business continuity management to ensure confidence in allow our client to manage their assets.
Management decided that independent verification was now required to prove that existing business continuity plans effective. The BS25999 business continuity standard was chosen as the appropriate route, utilising guidance from Teed consultants to identify activity required to meet requirements.
Teed consultants initially provided advice and guidance in respect of the BS25999 standard.
We then conducted a gap analysis, identifying the improvements required to align with the standard ahead of requesting a certification audit.
A report was delivered that clearly outlined a schedule of action and associated guidance to allow the required activity to be progressed internally by our client.
The identified actions are being progressed and the client will be seeking an audit to allow BS25999 accreditation in due course.
Note: BS25999 has now been superseded by ISO 22301 & ISO 22313 (international business continuity management standards).
