Teed can perform an independent review of an organisation’s ability and preparedness to respond to and recover from a crisis situation.
A specialist business continuity consultant will interview key business, facilities and IT representatives and also review appropriate material to gain an understanding of the following:
- Type of organisation and services provided
- Organisational structure
- Physical infrastructure
- IT & network infrastructure & equipment
- Current risks, exposures and attitude to risk
- Business continuity planning objectives, scope and drivers
- Current preparedness to respond to and recover from a crisis
The consultant will carry out a detailed assessment of the following:
- Current contingency plans and procedures (e.g. BC plans, DR plans, technical recovery procedures, emergency response plans, specific contingency plans etc.)
- Existing strategies and third party contracts for premises, IT, equipment, business and staff recovery
- Any past exercise and test outcome material
Key issues and concerns will then be discussed before producing an audit report detailing the following:
- Executive summary
- Outline of existing preparedness & contingency arrangements
- Independent review of the suitability of existing arrangements
- Gaps that need to be addressed
- Summary of organisation’s current exposure
