History

Teed Business Continuity was founded by David Teed in 1999 as a specialist provider of business continuity management solutions. With his background in commercial insurance broking and risk management, David recognised that business continuity deserved to be seen as a discipline in its own right and set out to promote awareness and understanding of the importance of business continuity management.

During the first few years the focus of the business was upon helping organisations in Scotland with their business continuity planning. However, from 2002 onwards the client base extended to organisations based elsewhere in the UK, Europe and North America.

Teed acquired Erskine Park Ltd in early 2009, a financial management consultancy firm. This not only provided us with our Director of Finance, Houston Ayre, but has also given us the ability to advise on the financial and strategic risks facing our clients.

Teed has now become one of the foremost business continuity consultancies in the UK, with a team of highly experienced professionals who deliver pragmatic business continuity solutions across a wide range of organisations and sectors, using a no nonsense approach that is both cost effective and time efficient.

We are based in Scotland, but like our pioneering Scots ancestors, Teed’s global reach extends much further as we bring our skills and experience to a vast range of UK and international clients. Our consultants assist organisations with their business continuity and ICT disaster recovery projects and also provide input to incident and risk management programmes.

In May 2010 David Teed was awarded the title of CIR Business Continuity Consultant of the Year, due recognition of the high esteem in which Teed Business Continuity is now held within the business continuity industry and beyond.
