BCI Good Practice Guidelines
The Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) are produced by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and developed by senior practitioners and members of the BCI using their academic, technical and practical knowledge and experience. The GPG are updated regularly with the most recent version published in 2010.
The BCI states that the GPG 2010 are intended for use by practitioners, consultants, auditors and regulators with a working knowledge of the rationale for BCM and its basic principles. They are not primarily intended to be a beginner’s guide, although they do provide much excellent material for those wishing to become certified BCM practitioners through the CBCI examination scheme. Newcomers to the discipline should also work alongside an experienced practitioner or attend an appropriate education programme.
All Teed's consultants work to the GPG in order to ensure every client's BCM programme is implemented in line with best practice.
